Popular Post RowdyRebel Posted December 19, 2014 Popular Post Share Posted December 19, 2014 So I'm sitting in my truck in the driveway today after getting home from work, just gathering up my stuff to carry inside when this pickup truck pulls into the driveway. First thing the driver does? Flick a cigarette out his window into my driveway. Apparently, a pissed off redneck standing 6'2" and weighing in a touch over 200 pounds shouting "That ain't your f---ing trash can, motherf---er!" as he races towards you makes a person a little forgetful, as he didn't remember flicking that butt (which was still smoldering next to his back tire) out the window. I was just about to reach into his truck to drag his ass out through the window to SHOW him when he asked me if my niece & nephew live there...apparently, he's with the school and schools these days deliver food & toys to student's homes at Christmas. Seems to me that the money would be better spent actually TEACHING things like reading, riting, & rithmatic...along with history, science, etc. Tax dollars at work, I guess. I had to go inside & get the sister-in-law and her husband to take the stuff from the guy 'cuz it just feels wrong taking stuff like that. I work hard for what I've got...never asked for any handouts. They are here because they didn't have heat, electricity, or water in their home (didn't pay their bills) and my wife was worried the state would take the kids from her sister if anybody called DCS on them. Crowded? Yeah...but we get by. They are both working (and paying rent)...and when the school year is over, we're moving them down to the wife's mom's house. If it WEREN'T for the kids, the sister-in-law and her husband could've stayed where they were. I told 'em when we moved them in that "The house next door has no heat, no electricity, and no water. Don't pay your share of the bills, and I'll put your bed over there to remind you what your situation was like before you got here." The kids would stay here with me & the wife, though...where it is warm, running water, and we've got electricity. ...But I digress. I couldn't believe the total lack of concern the guy had about pitching that cigarette butt out the window onto my property. Probably does it all of the time without giving it a second thought, and then wonders WHY nobody likes smokers and smoking bans are popping up all over the place. Kinda like the trucker who leaves his pee bottles and trash bags in the parking lot and wonders why nobody wants trucks parked on their property anymore. Boils down to respect. Have respect for other people's property, and they are more likely to allow you to continue using it. Apparently, the inconsiderate & disrespectful MFer didn't appreciate being cussed out and reported the incident. I wish I would've known it was the school calling, because I would have told them that if this guy doesn't want to be cussed out, he should refrain from littering in people's yards and use the damn ash tray in his truck. Needless to say, they lost the mirror which they weren't using anyway. It works rather well as a catapult to delicately place the said dog pies on the neighbors roof, car. patio or pool. Back when I had my car crusher,people used to drop off misc. scrap when I wasn't around. One guy dump off some scrap one day,and also left me a garbage bag full of dog shit. My neighbor to the left has a cat that might as well be a cougar and it kills the critters often leaving them on my property. The long handle shovel and my former lacrosse playing days mean that the neighbor on the right gets his dead critters returned right into his pool!!!
