I have in my possession a 1980 DM model truck with an EM6-237 engine. The block is cracked horizontally behind the oil filters. Against my advice, the former owner insisted I repair it with JB Weld. I'll give you two seconds to guess how long that lasted.

The ultimate question is there any later engines that will slip right back into that chassis without a ton of modifications to make it a farm truck? The engine in it now is a red oxide color. Thanks in advance.

What will I be exactly looking for: E6, EM6, four valve, two valve? Kinda get a little confused on different nomenclatures that identify different years. All I know for sure is that it has a plate that says EM6-237. The last thing that I want to do is starting switching frame mounts, ect.?
