Looking for any help or info regarding clutch adjustment on a C model. I have a 59' C model Mack. It has a 707 gas engine, with a TR670 5-speed, and a CL-28 single disc clutch. I need help with the clutch adjustment procedure, and any direction or assistance would be greatly appreciated.

The clutch adjustment is based on a distance measurement from the edge of the seat- I think on the B model it is 23" and has about 2" of freeplay. Do you have the drivers manual for the C Model? It will show the actual measurements- if not- I can give the measurements for the B model, and see if that will work. The actual adjustment for the clutch freeplay is on the clutch shaft that has a locked nut on the threaded adjustment bolt- adjust only a few turns and then try it out. If it is far out of adjustment you can also remove the adjustment mechanism and change the position on the splined shaft to then give you the proper amount of adjustment.
