i'd say LJ,because of the exposed radiator cap, every LF I've seen had the cap underneath the grille shell

Good eyes Mike , I couldn't see the cap. Paul

yep. this trailer contains milk on it's way to the dairy.

please not that was in the the first 10 years of Israel, so we can forgive about using metal tanks.. no one hurts fro drinking this milk.

However Mack was THE iron horse of transport in Israel, from '1930 to 2000 when local dealer so called collapsed, sold assets to Volvo dealer. unfortunately tradition did not continued no new Mack here.

Vlad,

The LMSW in the nice picture you sent is actually MACK NR, with local made tow crane and Scania Vabis cab..

last time seen at Egged parking lot at ARAD, Israel.

keep me posted for news, will be happy to help

Guy,

That's pretty interesting.

Although I have big doubts it was NR.

If that it had been shortened, front hubs swapped and army LMSW front fenders and grill installed.

Actually if you look over naked chassis NR and LMSW the differences might be found if you know what to look at.

LMSW's had double frames and NR's singles. Different wheel base and some crossmembers.

The most correct answer might be given by the chassis #.

Vlad,

What you says makes sens, but LMSW was not that common here, while NR starts the transportation here.

Israel was and still is, in some manners THE place for modifying technologies.. it might be th NR was heavily modified.

will need to check this unique truck.

you most welcome to contact via email

Guy,

Thank you, I will as far as I have a real need. Just always too much to do and keep in mind.

By the word here on this site is a private message system. I try and used to check both email and BMT daily.

It will be very interesting to track down the story or any other facts of that LMSW (or NR-?) truck.

WW2 LMSW heavy wreckers were built in much less number than NR's, only 664 units for both Britishes and Canadians.

Any thing is possible Vlad. In Israels early years Trucks and Armour were assembled from parts from depots and military scrap yards all over Europe and the Middle East.
