Don't know if these are still available today or not. I personally don't care for them.

I sent them a message awhile ago and asked what the fit they had no clue and said to check with the Mack dealer, never did since the local one is not very helpful.

$150 is not bad in my opinion for a new air starter. Even if it was electric. I'm learning as I get to installing one on my b model.

Mine came with a manual valve. Updated versions use a solenoid valve activated by push button on dash.

I would say that one on Ebay is for a drivers side starter. It would surely not fit a B model> Too long. But the motor portion looks just like the one I have. Auction says "5 available". If you know someone that ran air start...you could make some easy money on it.

Wonder if Barry could tell us what it is suppose to fit?

I just called the Mack dealer to see what they would say, the parts guy that I spoke with said looks like it is for an MR I asked what motor and he said that needed a Vin# for an MR.

Maybe its the cynic in me but the country of manufacture is not listed on the box and the fine print says new parts may or may not be in the original box you know what the old saying is if it seems to good to be true just saying be careful.

Second item down. Description says Starter CH

My 70 U model had an air starter for years, large air tank on rt side for supply.

a relay valve right under the pyrometer to start truck

Got tired of it about five years ago and installed electric starter,

It was an ingersol rand starter also

Truck was fitted with a governer bypass valve from factory, will put about 150 psi in tank for more starting air
