Rowdy a word of advice I got from a man more learned than I, if your gonna be pulling different types of trailers get boxes on your truck and make sure you have all the securement stuff you need on "your" truck. Its a pain in the butt to swap em from trailer to trailer, if it were me I'd look for a locker style headache rack. Best of luck with the new gig.

I agree with that, i've got 2 tool boxes mounted on the frame of the truck, one on the headache rack, and one on the trailer- they're all packed full.

Producer of poorly photo-chopped pictures since 1999.

Many fleets nowadays want o/o's to have newer "more reliable" trucks. This policy says more about the quality of operator than about the truck itself. Fewer and fewer operators are capable mechanically to keep a truck up & running after the warranty runs out.

Requiring newer equipment gives the company an opportunity to enter into a lease purchase agreement that ALWAYS works in the operators favor...

IMHO if the truck can pass a federal DOT inspection it shows that you as an operator are capable of maintaining your

truck. That is all a company should need to know.
