Christopher R. Friedauer, 36, of Colts Neck, passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 15, 2015 in Holmdel, to the utter devastation of his family and friends. Chris grew up in Howell, then Holmdel, where he graduated from Holmdel Township High School in 1996. He graduated with a B.S. from Delaware Valley College in 2000. Chris poured his life into his family's business, Holmdel Nurseries.

Chris loved his family with all his heart. He leaves behind his wife, Nancy Holm, and his two small children, Robbie and Nancy Joy. Chris also leaves behind his parents, Robert and Joy Friedauer, and his brother, Michael Friedauer, sister-in-law Christine Delaney, nephew Patrick and niece Catherine. Chris will be greatly missed by his cousins, aunts, uncles, and many loved ones and cherished friends.

A viewing will be held at Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel, on Thursday, February 19, 2015 from 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the Colts Neck Reformed Church, 72 Route 537 West, Colts Neck, on Friday, February 20, 2015 at 11 a.m., with a repast immediately following the service at the Colts Neck Fire Company #1, 88 Route 537 West, Colts Neck.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation for the future care and education of Chris and Nancy's children, to be mailed to ConnectOne Bank, 963 Holmdel Road, Holmdel, NJ 0773; or donations can be made in Chris' memory to the Antique Truck Club of America, 85 South Walnut Street, Boyertown, PA 19512.

Let's all chip in if we are able to the care of his children. Hopefully he had insurance but raising two kids from a young age is going to be tough. There is never a good time I guess but 36 is tragic.

God Bless.

A good friend of mine once told me "we only have so many heartbeats, the problem is we don't know how many." We can't get out alive but dang, at least wait till we are 100 or so. Again, condolences to his family!

I attended Chris's wake yesterday. There were many people who attended and paid their respects, glad to see he got a proper send off. Sad to see such a good person go so young. He was a true friend
