WANT TO BUY B Mack fuel tank brass caps

After the fire the truck was left out side for a couple nights and the caps disappeared. Does any one know where I could find a couple of these caps. Thanks Mike Bryan

It Might b the bottom one. f it has female thread and it measure's 2-1/2" inside diameter. Possibly the silver one would work if it has the same measurements to get me by till I find the original ones. Thanks for the reply. Mike Bryan.

Until you find exactly what you want go to hardware store and they should have a black or galvanized cap that you need. I did that for my missing one. You will not be able to use it on road as it will not have the lead inserts that melt. Joe D.

Out of curiosity, what is the purpose of the lead inserts? Are they supposed to melt during a fire and relieve the pressure on the tank or something?

Mack sells brand new 2 1/2 inch female thread caps. the new ones are vented to.

I found good brass caps to put on my truck they are made by Stant part # is 10602 they work thanks for the input and help> Mike Bryan.
