My B is back on the road, and I REALLY need some new front rubber to enjoy it. The old tube 22''s have to go, already have 24.5's on the rear. What brands do you guy's recommend for a ''hobby truck''? Don't need the best, but don't want junk either...

I had really good luck with Hercules on the granite. These were 425's 22.5 tho. They wore better than the bridgestones over the 60,000 km I ran em.

Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part....

I'm looking for front rubber, 22.5's. I've had my Yoko's since 2001 without hassle. Put about 50K miles on them and still LOTS of tread, but they are "getting old" and don't want any worries for another 14 yrs. Haven't called around yet. I want American made if possible, don't mind spending a few extra dollars for them. Paid $250 for the Yokos back then, curious what they are today. Will be checking into it the next couple weeks as the truck will be able to get out of the garage.

Ya, kinda figured I have near $1K for a pair mounted........................ugh.

Like to try to sell mine off for someones trailer? Less of an issue if something pops then on the steer axle.

At work we used to run continental 11R 22.5, they had like new tread but the rubber just above the bead would split. they were made in the USA but they were JUNK. now we run Double Coin or Hankook tires in the single axles, Bridgestone 315s on the front of our tandems.

I just picked up a a pair of samsons for the superliner

from experts greater than me-

So after doing some more research on Samson tires, their distributor company is out of Ohio, Great Lakes Tire Company. Advance Tire is also made by Samson, or vice versa. The tires are made to stringent quality control...and by the way, they are ultimately owned by Michelin...go figure...who also owns Uniroyal, etc. Turns out that Advance Tires and Samson tires used to be made in Isreal. Now they are made in China.

Try these guys if no is closer http://www.nebraskatire.com/brands/samsonthey say they ship anywhere for $125 if it holds true that's only about $700 for two 11R-22.5. or find some decent used ones for a $100 ea, if you want to keep the bias ply and not change rims you could get those and save a few buck on rims
