get a jacobs foot pedal sw. and install it to the right side of the throttle pedal, then remove the switch at the injection pump and then wire those wires to the foot sw.You can leave the dash sw on and them the dynatard will only work when you step on the peddal, and since you have to use your right foot you will have your foot off the throttle.....works great!

There are 3 switches that should be on that truck the throttle arm switch on the pump (normally open), the clutch arm switch (normally open) and the dash switch (SPST toggle). With the throttle at idle the throttle switch is activated, with the clutch pedal out the clutch switch is activated and with the dash switch on the system is armed. There is no ECM to stop the engine brake under a certain rpm on an E9 like there is on an ETECH or any other electronic engine, once the dash switch is on the brake is on, turn it off its off. hope that helps but like the other guys said you cant set it up not to work at idle with the clutch pedal out and the dash switch on or it may activate under throttle on the road and that is bad mojo there.

thats how my 85 superliner with the 13 spd road ranger is set up,mine is a 3 stage jake,i leave it on low to shift, when its on high and i need to shift i lightly touch the clutch pedal to keep it open circuited, the E motors are set up different and you can leave them on and it wont activate when your off the pedals,
