The impressive new body-on-frame Everest SUV shares the same platform as the new 2015 Ranger, whereas the unibody-construction Explorer is an evolved minivan-turned-SUV for soccer moms, and weekend dads that don't want to be seen in a mini-van.

The body-on-frame Everest is an actual truck that a man would purchase for himself.
