Yeah, it's a whole other ball game when you go crossing state lines. I had a DOT number for about 2 months until I decided the headache and paperwork wasn't worth it. I stay in Arkansas now. I never made much money with a dump truck until I got hooked up with a place to get dirt, then started advertising and pushing fill dirt and topsoil around town.

I'm not saying the asphalt gig ain't bad, it's good money, and your right staying in state is way cheaper and less of a headache. But asphalt don't run year round and I just want to stay busy, puttin my name out to oilfield companies that need lease road material brought in so we see how that pans out
