jester Posted June 19, 2015 Share Posted June 19, 2015 I just did an in frame rebuild on a MP8 including a new wiring harness. When I tried to start it. the starter relay kicks out. will turn over if you short the starter, but still while not start? turckster Posted August 3, 2015 Share Posted August 3, 2015 Make sure the crank sensor connector is not connected to the EGR pigtail as they are the same.Or swapped with the cam position sensor. The engine ecu sees a high rpm while cranking and kicks the starter out. See this quite often when customers replace the engine wire harness.
