We have an 89 rd690sx 10 whlr dump truck that has an 18k front and 58k rears. The front axle has 3 springs and sits rather low. I want to add a spacer to the front springs but don't know if I should go with a 3 inch or 4. I want more ground clearance and I'd like it to sit tall but I don't want it to look like it's leaning backwards. Which size should I go with?

could you just pull the springs out and reset them in a press just measure length they need to be and rest them to that just press every few inches till its the right shape and Bobs your uncle no special spring spacers and U bolts just time

I'm 98 percent sure thats how both trucks cam from the factory. In my opinion, they both sit perfect.

If it was me, i would put the truck on a level surface. I would then use a level or an angle finder to measure the pitch of the frame rail. Take a measurement from a spot on the frame somewhere over the steer axle to the floor. Then jack the front of the truck so it has the desired pitch, and take another measurement from that same point you used earlier. Then subtract the two, and that should give you a pretty good idea of what block would be the best fit.

I didn't know you could get 3 leaf taperleaf in an 18k rating in 88.
