foxtrot1 Posted June 26, 2015 Share Posted June 26, 2015 we have a cv713 with an etec engine and the filter base that we purchased didn't have an oil pressure(bypass) regulator in the head. Previous base we have seen have had these in them. is it possible that not all engines require this bypass valve in the oil filter head also called a bracket. my tech says it is to prevent pressure from building up and blowing out the filters.
