New slippers for the princess...

Recommended Posts

yep I dont run cabs for cost of fresh set of treads is not much more than a fresh set of caps

and the damage caps do when they let go more than out ways the extra cost of fresh treads for me

The old fellas out here used to buy tyres twelve months ahead and store them under there house to let them cure

looks good when we have fresh treads on till we take them thru the mud lol

"Research" shows that virgin tires blow more than recaps. But I gotta be honest, in 20 years I only had one virgin tire blow out. And that was a 425 Michelin steer. Had quite a few caps blow. Bandag caps in this area too. Now I run new Michelin drive tires and the casing value I get back offsets the cost. Steers, I only have luck with kumho 425's

so why didn't you get those new sneakers ''studded' Leslie? you know, for those days when you go bobtailing in the snowy roads??? sorry, couldn't resist... I have a set of those Bandag Megatreks on the back of my B model with Cooper casings. back before Cooper went to china. they been on there about 8 years and I only run about 60psi in them to ride a lil better.

Looks good, wish they stayed new for ever!

Do they have recamic retreads in the US? It's Michelins brand of retreads, we run them on trailers with not many dramas. Never on the back axle to protect light jyst in case.

He had a set of 8 identical Bridgestone casings with a much less agreesive tread...I thought about the snow and wet grass and stuck with these!

. I had the best luck with Michelin XZY3 425's on the steer, my buddy is running general's in a 385 and loves em.
