When black individuals are shooting guns at police, I don't see the "black lives matter" movement acting to prevent any loss of life (i.e. that's okay...........as white lives don't appear to be high on their list of concerns).

However, when the police shoot back in self defense, then the "black lives matter" movement is up in arms (ie. that's not okay).

(When "black lives matter" representatives pushed Bernie Sanders off the stage, a nice old guy without a hurtful bone in his body, that act showed how ill-mannered and uncultured this bunch is..........and they're going to set people straight on right and wrong????)

In Baltimore, they were given a LOT of leeway by the mayor, and it showed that they will take full advantage of the hand's off policy.

I'm lost over the whole Ferguson affair anyway. Based on CCTV footage of showing Michael Brown robbing a convenience store, I see a criminal, bully and troublemaker.

As for this other boy, Tyrone Harris Jr., when he decided to steal a gun (criminal act) and go shoot a group of police officers (murder), what kind of response did he expect?

If these lads would cease being criminals (their choice) and become law-abiding, contributing members of their community, that would be a win-win for all.

Couldn't agree more. If you're being treated poorly by the police, why not try not breaking the law, regardless of what color you are? And apparently you're automatically a racist if you call them out on their double standard. I say stop dispatching police to the areas that are most prone to this kind of nonsense and let them work out their differences amongst themselves. (I'm sure they will do it in a peaceful manner, since black lives matter and all.)

Now, their violence has forced the authorities to declare a state of emergency. Unless something changes, these people are going to cost the law-abiding taxpayers several million dollars when all is said and done.

The government should devise a way to tax this group for the total cost of the crisis they have created.

The so-called protesters hung a banner from two balloons which read, "Racism still lives here #fightback." What am I missing here? They shoot at police who were handling them with white gloves so that no one could possibly point a finger at Ferguson authorities, and they're looting stores again. Peace-loving folks?.............I'm just not seeing evidence of that.

And don't forget truckers Paul. I know it's not exactly the same but in a sense truckers are profiled meaning we can be pulled over at anytime, for no reason at all and can be given a ticket For any petty thing and most Dot officers know we don't have the time or means to fight this. On top of that we have special laws and regulations working against us even though we are a miniscule percent of accidents. Even with this unfair treatment and "profiling" I never hear of truckers shooting at law enforcement or burning down our own town.

Trump mentioned something about Martial Law. Ron Paul said "it would be impossible to enforce Martial Law over 315 million people"

Trump and Christi said "it would be easy with the militarization of the local police."

As Truckers we are targeted because it is a sure pay off. I don't have the money to fight DOT or the local LEO for b.s. stops.

One day last year on the Long Island Expressway, I hit a Suffolk PD DOT stop near the exit 68 rest area, Hit a Suffolk Sheriff Dept DOT stop at exit 62. Hit the NYS DOT at exit 51 rest area. Crossed in to Nassau County and hit the NCPD DOT stop at exit 46. All in all 4 DOT Check Points in under 40 miles by 4 different entities, each getting a piece of the "fines. Wasted 3 hours on a normal 1 1/2 hour run to Glen Head.

A group of five heavily armed white men calling themselves the Oath Keepers wearing bulletproof vests, camouflage gear and carrying AR15 assault rifles arrived in Ferguson just before midnight and began wandering around amongst the black protesters (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3193440/Heavily-armed-Oath-Keepers-inject-new-unease-riot-hit-Ferguson.html).

St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar aptly told the media, “Their presence is both unnecessary and inflammatory,”............which it is.

These fellows need to get a life and leave law enforcement to the authorities.

Missouri’s gun laws permit licensed gun owners to openly carry unless their weapons are “displayed in an angry or threatening manner.”

One protester said, “If those were black men walking around with rifles, they probably wouldn’t be living today.”

And he’s right, black protesters walking down the street with assault rifles would be immediately arrested.

Ironically, a group of black men were arrested on suspicion of firearm possession, but the group of white body camouflage-clothed armor-wearing Oath Keepers (they really should ponder a better name) armed with assault rifles were granted permission to walk through the protests by police officers.............go figure.

The point is, NOBODY needs to be walking around America with an assault rifle, and the fact that some people can and do in Missouri is a black eye embarrassment for that state.

Meanwhile, stepping outside of the box and standing amongst the world audience, onlookers around the world are shaking their heads if not laughing at us. The once respected United States that still wants to dictate how the rest of the world lives is itself falling apart from within. We’re losing reputation and integrity points faster than a PEZ dispenser.

I do agree that they had no reason to be there. . . unless they were requested by the LEO and yes there are fringe elements in every organization.

I joined the Oath Keepers 3 years ago and see nothing radical or right wing for want government to be "by the people for the people" and not "by the government for the government" . I am not a subject , I am a citizen.

Obligation to the Oath of Enlistment expires but a citizens right to expect the Constitution to be the law of the land does not. Every American should feel honored stand up for those documents. The Government has been side stepping the Constitution for decades but not the way it has since 9/11. When politicians take an Oath of Office to obey and defend the Constitution from enemies both foreign and domestic and than side step it, plain ignore it or only apply it to select groups when it benefits them, it is time to rein them in.

In an ideal world, every citizen would take offence and act in a proper manner to halt it, but sadly any person or group the wants Constitutional Law followed is an Anti Government Radical or Kook.

Respect, Patriotism and a Knowledge of what our founding principles are is what this nation was built on. It does not come with a uniform and oath. It comes from the heart and the love of God and Country and lastly knowledge.

The general public through the Media accepts this latest idea from General Wesley Clark Ret. to protect the American Government,. You decide Constitutional or not?

Former General Wesley Clark during a MSNBC interview stated in no uncertain terms about people who speak out or do not support all government actions should expect.

“If these people are radicalized and don’t support the United States, and they’re disloyal to the United States, as a matter of principle that’s fine, that’s their right. It’s our right and our obligation to segregate them from the normal community for the duration of the conflict.”

What General Clark is advocating in no uncertain terms is that the U.S. rewrite its laws to allow for the internment of Americans who the government feels have engaged in thought crime. Mind you, laws on the books are sufficiently strong to punish people engaged in actual criminal behavior. Clark is suggests forcibly separating people based on their political views.
