I don't remember thecost, but I used the step brackets from a CH instead, they are heavier built, and the bottom one sticks out a little farther than the originals did, makes it a little nicer getting in and out of truck.

Man, That is one small hacksaw to cut that tank in half, you are a master of hand tools, LOL :notworthy:

I do have the newer steps on my RW and the tanks are 22" they look nicer and work better, best of all still have them at Mack but $$

Vlad,

640 millimunkers divided by 25.4 is about 25.19677 inches give or take a RCH. :whistling:

Ken you're right. That's what I was surprized of.

And that small hacksaw was layed there just by chance.

We used the lager one

As for real my guy cut the tank with that small saw indeed because he was afraid a big BOOM using a grinder.

He washed the tank with detergent 3 times but still preferred to be safe. It was good for the tank though. When he started on the other end he cut it off in a minute but almost together with the shoulder wich was welded inside.

So 1 minute grinder cut turned out into 2 hours fixing.

just got a new one tonight from the ups guy 150.00 for the 44 in. step but it didn't come with the two brackets to secure the steps to the strap brackets so another call to mack for more goodies!
