WANT TO BUY Air filter housing

Looking for a paper element style air filter housing. Looking to change from the current oil bath set up after reading up on its less that amazing filtration capabilities. Doesn't necessarily have to be a Mack housing but metal is preferred.

I plan to move the filter housing from its current location to the center of the truck so the intake stack is centered between the exhaust. So new mount brackets and such are going to be made anyway.

I can take a picture later this afternoon the only thing I don't understand about the housing is it has 2 out let's

Not much of an issue that a y pipe can't cure I wouldn't think.

Look at a Cruiseliner one. Mounts dead center above the rails. Look at the 3rd photo.

Both are excellent ideas. I never realized the cruise liner had it set up that way.

I've got a used unit if you are interested. It is the one in my picture to the left...I believe it is off of an R model and has a single outlet. I bought an original oil bath unit to replace it with.

I'd bet it don't get too much if any interest,not much demand for cabover air cleaners.I think you could set that up just like on the later F models.

Update. I found these for a steal locally ($25 for both). I am sure I can fab up some mounts and twin stacks for them behind the cab. Should have plenty of flow capacity I think with 6 inch out put tubes and about 12 inches in diameter. And there are two so it will keep my crazy ocd brain happy about things being balanced.
