I agree with Tim, your R is one of my favorits from all others I've ever seen on the net.

Wish you a long while before you feel a need to swap it with something newer.

5.8 MPG pretty darn good I would have thought confirms what I have always said these new trucks are no better than a well maintained coolpowered Mack that has electronic problems

Take nothing away from these newer trucks, but it does show how fantastic the old Macks are!

My dad ran an old '76 cab over kenny, with an 892 in it. He sold that truck in 95, and bought a '91 valueliner with an e7. The money he saved on maintenance and fuel paid for his Mack (4 years old at the time)! It was a free truck he kept telling me.

Mack rules!

I keep a daily fuel log and I can go back a few years and the fiqures are all the same
