Popular Post OFFROADRESCUE Posted September 29, 2015 Popular Post Share Posted September 29, 2015 Howdy all, So after a couple years of being in the market for a military wrecker I have found this and fell in love, but know little about Mack F900s. This is an F900 6x6 AWD powered by an ENDT866 V8. As far as I know this was built for the military during a contract competition and is 1/5 in existence. I have confirmed the VIN to being military, and it was originally OD green before it was updated for civilian use as a heavy wrecker. It ran when it was parked but has since deteriorated from lack of use and maintenance. Someone had done some troubleshooting in it and removed 5/8 injectors. It only had 18,000 miles on it and was wondering what the general consensus was on this this running again as long as no major mechanical defects are found. I'm just wondering what would be the difference from the F800's that were fairly popular for mixers here in Canada in the 70's? Would it be an F900 or an F800 like the 6 wheel drive mixers?
