Just wondering,do you ever restore these trucks or just collect them as they are?

Mainly collect,I do have a few I've fixed up, and acouple I'm very slowly working on. What I do I don't consider as restoring,I just make it good enough to suit me. My main goal is to save what I can from being chopped up and melted.

Yes,the frame is aluminum,and it is as clean and corrosion free as the cab,it isn't even caked with 40 year old grease,they had made shields still mounted to the crossmembers to prevent grease being slung out from the U joints. Even the manual slide 5th wheel slid easily by hand .The odometer reads 276k and I'd bet a case of Coors Light those were actual miles.

Glad you kept it from going to china to come back as kias or something worse when I saw that truck I knew who to get on it to save it by the way Mike if you want to part with one of those hood emblems PM me.

I thought yours was a RS700?
