The C was build on the new chassis, U, DM, R base chassis.

Hmmm... L-model cab on a R-model frame?

Sounds like an interesting combo.

Taking it C-model must have wider front thread having R-model axle.

Or it used earlier style off a B-model?

Or wide aluminium radiator together with B67 fenders makes quite wide front end?

I think the early R model has the B model front axle.... and the C model does look like it has early R model tow loops on the front spring hangers. I know the R model axle was about 2'' wider than a B model but I think the early ones was the same as a B model

  • 3 weeks later...

Uncle Milty saved that one from the Quality Carriers/Beaver/Bulk yard in Bristol,Wi. Like a lot of our trucks it had been used as a yard tractor.I guess he really had to beg them to sell it to him.I have a bunch of pics from local shows of it too,Keith that I'll post. Glad it's going to a good home. Al

Did you work for Beaver Al? The one that had Beaver in big letters across the trailer. Blue tractors. They were quite a common sight at one time.

No sir. Just remember them as a kid. Quality Carriers,Beaver, and Bulk Transport were "related". The yard off I-94 & county C in Bristol(Wisconsin) is still used by QC. One of the few things that hasn't changed since this 54 year old was "hub high to a Budd wheel"! Al
