If the evap isn't filthy you can clean it put a new expansion valve and I always clean the heater box and and blow out the duct work. Also make sure you put on a new receiver dryer as well . Another trick I learned on the early red dot hvac systems is they did not come with a filter like the berg storm units in cx, cv etc and the dirt plugs up evap and you get hardly any air flow so before I Put the intake duct on the heater box on the passenger side I get one of those blue filters they use on the later models to protect the evap from dirt then when it gets dirty you only have to change the filter not clean the whole system again
