A quick update. The suspension has all been replaced. New brakes, , shocks, slack adjusters, bags, torque arms, The sending units for the tears were replaced, the fluids dropped, all new bearings, seals, taillight panel, fifth wheel slider, and plate.

It's been determined that at one point the truck either hit something or it ran something over on the right side. The rears were out of alignment in a bad way. Like the back axle was shifted 3/4" to the right. the front was messed up as well. Everything has been replaced now, so there is no second guessing. The truck steers phenomenal now. The suspension works right. Everything is probably better than when it left the factory.

The hydraulic tank should be here soon. We are awaiting its arrival to mount it. After its mounted the truck will be prepped for paint.

The new slider, and saddle are on. The plate is too, but i forgot to get pics of it last night before locking up the shop.

We have one half fender on, and the other will be on today. We're definitely closing in on her.

certainly different than what we do out here but looks good just the same

We arent allowed to weld anything at all to chassis rails out here not allowed to drill holes thru flanges either

Bolting and welding to the added outside flange which in turn is bolted to the web of the frame rails is OK.

After a couple of jobs, that pile of receipts will get smaller.  Looks Good!

It doesn't cost anything to pay attention.

Yeah, it does beat buying a new one. When we're done the truck will be like new anyway.

...And your truck will have a smaller property tax bill annually, too. Not to mention no emissions equipment, making it more reliable and probably more fuel efficient.

Great job.

When you mentioned the rear axles being out of line 3/4  of an inch I was reminded of a950 Ford 534gas job I drove when we were building the city of Margate Florida. The tandem were so worn they moved left to right at least 3inches,you'd get dizzy if you watched them in the mirrors! The thing used 2 gallons of oil in the hoist every day! When you lowered the hoist oil would squirt about a foot out of the seals! Was a5and3,but you better not forget and try to use the aux. The thing would lock up and you would have to unjam it with a crowbar! Didn't really need the aux., that big 534 would pull stumps on it's own! Was a "jobsite" truck, wouldn't even pass Florida's state insp.forgot to mention, the pto for the hoist would vibrate into gear when you were going down the road! On day we were going to the "staging area" (about a 1/4 of a mile) and my friend in the pickup behind me was honking the horn and waving his arms the darn dump body was going up was mt fortunately! These youngsters that go from driving school into a brand new "horse" don't know how lucky they are!
