An ACLU leader has resigned after posting on Facebook that supporters of leading Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump be shot before Election Day, according to multiple news sources.

The post by Loring Wirbel, co-chairman of the Colorado Springs, Colo., chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union also made a reference to Nazism.

“We have to really reach out to those who might consider voting for Trump and say, ‘This is (Nazi propaganda minister Joseph) Goebbels. This is the final solution. If you are voting for him, I will have to shoot you before Election Day,' " Wirbel wrote Monday.

He resigned Thursday but told a local newspaper that his post was intended “totally as a joke.” Wirbel also suggested the post was taken out of context, which he called “smear politics,” while acknowledging that the post could be viewed as offensive.

The post was removed but reposted by Daniel Cole, executive director of the El Paso County Republican Party, resulting in Wirbel resigning as a volunteer chapter representative, according to The New York Daily News.

"It's a new take on voter outreach: shoot them." Cole wrote in his
Facebook post that accompanied Wirbil's post.

He also reportedly said Wirbil's post was "beyond" acceptable, considering the recent mass shooting at the Colorado Spring Planned Parenthood Center.

The ACLU reportedly condemned Wirbil's post and made clear the social media post on members' personal accounts don't represent those of the civil rights organization.

Donald Trump says he's sick and tired of the United States acting as the world's policeman.

The day after North Korea claimed that it had conducted its first-ever successful hydrogen bomb test, the Republican presidential front-runner pointed the finger at China. His message: Pyongyang is Beijing's problem to fix.

"China should solve that problem and we should put pressure on China to solve the problem," Trump said in a wide-ranging interview with CNN's Wolf Blitzer on "The Situation Room" Wednesday at Trump Tower in midtown Manhattan. "If they don't solve that problem, we should be very tough on them on trade -- meaning, start charging them tax or start cutting them off. You'd have China collapse in about two minutes."

Trump also demanded on Wednesday that South Korea pay up. The United States has thousands of troops stationed in South Korea, which has been in a state of armistice with North Korea since the 1950s.

"South Korea is a money machine. They pay us peanuts," Trump said. "South Korea should pay us and pay us very substantially for protecting them."

This is why I hope he makes it,thinking outside the box and let other countries spend billions trying to straighten these other dopes in the world out. Maybe after many failed attempts by many countries maybe we will have actual allies he actually help each other.

The problems we face today exist because the people who work for a living are outnumbered by the people who vote for a living.

The government can only "give" someone what they first take from another.

There's reason to believe that Trump will be the reason that Hillary Clinton wins, and then we will suffer at least 4 years of her arrogance. My perception is, she is nothing but trouble. I fear what could happen to the United States under her stewardship.

Hopefully the FBI sees her as trouble as well, and gets the federal indictment together soon. Then CNN will be compelled to report something negative about the Clintons.

Some one yesterday said what will get her in office is the younger people don't care what she is or did because they know only what has happened in the last seven years by Obama and they think its normal.Plus if she don't get in what about all of this free stuff.

But then again, one is inclined to assume that younger people are low turnout voters (it takes away from their social media time)..

The young are the ones who can who can least afford her. Who do they think is going to make the sacrifices and pay back the debt all those "give- aways" will in cure?

Most Universities, Colleges, MTV and other "young" media outlets are pushing for them to vote so they will get the promised "free" college and no debt. Other media hype if for non college bound to vote Hillary for a $15 plus minimum wage. That will bring enough out.
