Anyone have any idea what it would take to change a Mack T2070 transmission to a 9 or13 speed fuller.Driver ran transmission low of oil and it can be repaired but I have never really liked it.I think giving the truck a few more years would do wonders for it.Any thoughts anyone or advice?

Just remember when comparing an overdrive Fuller to an overdrive Mack transmission, the fuller will have a less "overdrivey" tall gear. I hope that makes sense, my mind is shot from holiday stress. There will also be a difference in drive shaft length.

Possible bell housing, trans mounts, the way the clutch cable attaches, length of trans (shorten or lengthing drive shaft) speedo hookup, final output ratio of transmission ( rear gearing change) shift lever.

I've done it. It's worth the effort if you do you homework. Best way is to get the doner trans from a mack, preferably around the same year. I'm getting ready to get rid of the mack 9sp for a fuller. My mack has a .71 final drive ratio with 5.55 rears so any swap I make will also require a rear change to get any road speed with a decent rpm.

T2070 has quite fast owerdrive, 0.60. Much faster than T2090, T2100 and T2130.

I did not know that, I thought Mack overdrives were all the same. 0.60 thats a hell of an overdrive!

Fun is what they fine you for!

My name is Bob Buckman sir,. . . and I hate truckers.
