I have Pics. of that same trailer being pulled into jobsite in OK. 2 years ago by Double ugly (I think M75) Empty weight is so high that it really cannot haul that big of a load. Diminishing return, add more to get more but end up being so heavy it is difficult to permit. we use dollies in a dual lane set up, 80,000 per group, 5 groups gets 400,000 usually like to run 5 or 6 groups then space out and add more groups for bigger loads. dollies provide best empty to loaded weight ratio. Perkins set up can travel at faster speed than dollies but if you weigh 500,000+ lbs how fast do you want to go???? Perkins could not make it up some hills, we had Double Ugly on the job for our loads, old girl hauled them in with no problem, didn't break a sweat. V12 Cummins with Allison for those don't know how they were powered. Wonderful old Mack.

First one is Perkins from MN.

They also have another crew or set of trucks that I see quite often with Titans but never got a pic yet. There's an outfit called Greenberry that just built a yard a couple of years ago by Santa Rita and they build mega loads to go up to the tar sands in Canada. They literally are wider than a 2 lane highway and the powerlines were moved to 30' high where they crossed the highway. Their location is only 25 or so miles from the border and I got flagged to pullover to wait for on of those loads to pass. Long story short after more than an hour of waiting the load went by and it was a push pull type set up with a 3rd truck (semi tow truck) pushing as well. There's a steep little hill and from the ruts, yes I said ruts left in the pavement I could see where the powered out and couldn't get started and just dug into the asphalt. When the 3rd truck got them moving there is literally 1-2" deep ruts over the hill where that lead truck was pourin' the coals to her.

The problems we face today exist because the people who work for a living are outnumbered by the people who vote for a living.

The government can only "give" someone what they first take from another.
