Seems like a normal front end heigth to me.

The green truck probably rides on 12.00R 24.5's wich are tall.

Both my R's have blocks of about 3 or 4" between the beam and the springs and I'd bet that's from the factory.

The pics show the front axle off R688 of late 80's wich was parted out. You can see them blocks. Note the paint is always the same.

You can also have a spring shop (or do it yourself) put two or three short plates under your spring pack and run the center bolt through them and your spring pack. This will give you some lift safely ,with out affecting ride . I did this to the 20k front springs and added one leaf to 3 of my ex hood western stars to clear 425 front tires .

12X24 rims on that one. they are split rims on that truck..

24.5 are one piece rims.

Good eye! Agree :)

By the word I once figured out that actually 12.00-24 tube tyres and 11.00R24.5 tubless have absolutely the same inside diameter.

yup,a lot of people do not realize that.

a 12 24.5 is almost 1 inch taller than a 11 24.5 and has a much higher weight rating.

i run 12 24.5 rubber on the 05 CV713. makes a big difference in the way the truck rides.

I felt the same when put 11R24.5 on my R-model in place of 11R22.5's.

Might think about 12R24.5's but the only offer was 11's to fit 24.5 wheels. Or smaller ones.
