On top of all that, it's very, very top heavy.

If you look at the photo very close, you'll see the trailer is on a wooden "bridge" over the open sub way dig, and the shield is being jacked and put on cribbing to off load it from the trailer. All with screw jacks, no hydraulic here!

I've stacked that much cribbing before. After all this time, you still can't beat hardwood cross ties for holding stuff up. It's not very fun though, I think a 7X9 green tie weighs around 350lb. I know a guy that could carry one on each shoulder. These days I do good to just get one end.
