Hi, I am new to owning my own truck, obviously. 87 Mack R model, on the left side of the dash there's an orange light that says Shutdown on it. And a buzzer going off while the light is on. WHY? I have good oil pressure. Coolant is full. What other systems are on this warning circuit? Everything seems to operate normally.

I am also looking for a good used oil pan for this same engine. EM6-300. Are the E6 & E7 pans the same? Any good sources in or near NY? Sources for Owners manuals?

Sources for Owners manuals = Contact the Mack Museum http://www.macktruckshistoricalmuseum.org/

Send them your info and truck vin and they will send you a package with build sheets and manuals, then send them a donation.

Thank you everyone!

In my searches for an oil pan I have to wonder....why won't any of them fit? By any I mean pans from an EM6, E6, E7? It looks like they all have 30 holes. They are all reversible, meaning to me that the wider section in the middle is centered. I do see some have reinforced edges and some do not. Some pans are deeper too, so it would hold more oil. More oil isn't a bad thing.

Any advice on this?
