Might be off but with a quick look it looks at my mixer like it comes out from the bottom.

What is leaking, gasket or pitman arm seal? You may be able to do the pitman arm seal with out full removing the box.

Wicked heavy!

When I had to remove the starter from the 359, I was on the ground to catch and another fellow was on the top lowering the starter by using a strap.  Find a helper and a strap for the job.

I have a steering box in a nasty spot that has a leak.  I am thinking about using special John Deere corn head grease instead of oil.  The grease is designed for low speed gear boxes and it's weight grade is 0.  It is soft and has some flow but should be thick enough not to leak.  A cartridge is about $4.

It doesn't cost anything to pay attention.
