Outbehindthebarn Posted March 18, 2016 Share Posted March 18, 2016 I'm making some repairs to my sleeper, and was hoping to get the HVAC up and going on it. There are only four wires leading to the junction box under the bunk. Red, Blue, Green, White. Red and Blue are for the speakers. White is for interior lights. Green goes to the fan switch. . . my question is about the green wire (obviously). I can't seem to get that green wire to show 12 volts from the truck. I traced it back to the harness in the dash where it promptly disappears. . . Does anyone know where it goes to? What sends power to it? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've tried every conceivable position on the 'truck' HVAC, but can't get it to send power to the 'green' wire. I guess my question is as much about what powers the bunk heater motor? If there is than check continuity from the wire at the switch to the end in the sleeper and from the switch to where the wire disappears at the dash. Could be simple as a dirty or un plugged connector. 41chevy Posted March 19, 2016 Share Posted March 19, 2016 Look for a relay with the green wire on it near or around that harness the wire disappears into, reason being the blower is a high draw accessory and most all are on a relay circut..
