I picked up  a 1974 AM General(I am told it is probably actually late 60's Jeep Kaiser)M52a1 5 ton Military truck.

It has a Mack ENDT 673. My question is how can I get rid of the canister filters ? It has one oil filter and one bypass. They both leak like sieves no matter what I do. Is there a filter head setup of a civilian Mack that would replace what I have ? Would anyone have a Picture of what a 673 with spin on filters looks like ?

Thanks

I put R model spin on my 673 na.  Do you have oil Cooler?  Mine doesnt.  I got mine from Global truck trader on the east coast.

I wonder if a 237 set up would bolt on.  Mine was unique due to lack of cooler and turbo.  Yours should be easier since it likely looks like this.
