the Oshkosh never sold very well out here they aimed them at the high speed interstate market to begin with then logging and then just about anything else they could think of

To take full advantage of the weight laws at the time the front axle needed to be set right forward which Oshkosh never did so they could not carry gross weights and then the cab was to long for the length laws of the time 

Wrong truck for the wrong market I think

Interesting story. 

The problems we face today exist because the people who work for a living are outnumbered by the people who vote for a living.

The government can only "give" someone what they first take from another.
