The central Euro 6 engine components are the common rail injection, cooled and regulated exhaust gas recirculation EGR and two-stage turbocharging with intercooling. The components apart from the engine include the exhaust gas aftertreatment with Selective Catalytic Reduction ('SCR system' for short) and the integrated oxidising catalytic converter plus the continuously regenerating trap filter ('CRT' for short).
