starter interchange

Question

I have a 237 with a bad starter. It crosses over to a delco 39MT.  My 300 plus which is in the shop is a 40MT

I'm having a hard time hard time finding the 39 MT. Is there a newer style starter readly available that will work? Are most mack starters the same?  I cant imagine mack used many differnt size starters

I believe a 42mt will interchange. I think the 39mt is the smaller high torque starter. Anybody else that can clarify?

The problems we face today exist because the people who work for a living are outnumbered by the people who vote for a living.

The government can only "give" someone what they first take from another.

The 39MT is a new starter.  Shouldn't be hard to find.

The 39MT is the gear reduction starter with "soft touch" starting with variations being used on the Mack E7, MP7, MP8, MP10 and Cummins ISX's.

Like HG said above the 42MT is used on a ton of 673 applications.

It doesn't cost anything to pay attention.
