One could argue that with the steel bumper and other rugged features USPS wants for city operation the HV was a closer match for their specs. But Mack had no problem supplying a steel bumper on CX conventionals, so no reason International couldn't have supplied the RH built to USPS specs. The high mount cab of the RH would certainly give better visibility, and if USPS asked me to give up a Mack for this thing I'd retire... But I already did that.

Why does an electric truck have a hood? Shouldn't it be a cab-forward design?

when you are up to your armpits in alligators,

it is hard to remember you only came in to drain the swamp..

Actually, those USPS bums lose more of my mail than they deliver and I'm not exaggerating. I'd put all those screw ups in refurbished Jeep DJ5s with brush paint, and the cheapest mold cure recaps I could buy on all four corners

Is the USPS even relevant anymore? Last I heard they were insolvent and had to be propped up with borrowed taxpayer money to operate every year. Get rid of it and auction everything it owns of to the highest bidder. Why do I care if the USPS, UPS, DHL, or Fed Ex brings my junk to my doorstep. At least the latter three don't operate on borrowed taxpayer money. If there is a continued need or desire by the market for daily letter mail delivery a business from the private sector will be able do it better and cheaper than the USPS boondoggle can.

Yea the largest contractor the USPS has is Fed Ex. Has been that way for a long time. That contract is worth like $1.5 billion annually.
