What did Mack use in the back of the cab on R models. My Superliner has the big diamond pleated back panel the surrounds the rear window and goes to the floor, but there is nothing between it and the back panel of the cab. Seems like a pretty big waste of space really.... should I just fill that area up with insulation? Did Mack have some sort of 'fitted' insulation panel that went there?

Secondly, what is the large metal kinda pyramid shape thing standing up there? It is welded in place near the rear cab mount and almost reaches the rear window opening? Does it serve some purpose? (sorry for no pic of it)

Fun is what they fine you for!

I don't think there was any insulation in my cab either. I plan on using a dynamat product.  The diamond shaped panel I'm pretty sure secures the mail pouch.

OH YEAH, the mail pouch... I forgot all about that ... With the panel out, it never occurred to me. With that big void under the window, I suppose it needed a support of some kind.
