Hello, I discovered this forum while browsing for antique Mack truck information. I was born and raised in New York City in 1934. I can still see the AC Bulldog trucks that the Railway Express Agency used rolling down the cobblestone streets on solid rubber tires; their chain drive making that distinctive sound. Although I am not a Mack truck owner, I do like to build models. I have been a railroad modeler for a long time (70+ years), but now I want to try my hand at building a Mack of my past memories. I will be browsing through these forums looking for information to aid me in building a scale model. Thank you for the opportunity to join your community.

Welcome to the group! A lot of members (me included) are Truck model builders. Up to a few months ago we were on the Eastern End of Long Island, a short hop to look over my AC's for info, unfortunately they are all with us in Virginia.

Here is a link to some of my AC information, use anything you need and feel free to ask for any info you may want.    Paul

Mr Ron,when I was a kid in the early 50s there were a couple of chain drive Macks hauling steel past my house in McMurray pa I remember that ringing sound! 41,what was the last mack to use chain drive? They definitely weren't ACs were newer than that. Might have been Sterlings.
