I have always wondered about Mack's inverted camelback bogie.  I only saw a few on older R models, not sure what it's purpose was.  How did it compare to regular camelback, and what years was it offered?

Seemed to be used for line haul operations utilizing lighter weight tandems and rode a little better than a conventional setup.  Think I have seen it up to about 1989 or so.

It doesn't cost anything to pay attention.
