Volvo needs to focus on trucks

Cevian Capital's Christer Gardell believes that Volvo needs to focus on trucks alone and do away with Volvo Construction Equipment (VCE).

According to Christer Gardell, Volvo has made progress toward a less complex structure and construction machinery is now the last large part to deal with.

Volvo's management and board have Cevian’s confidence and "we trust that they will handle this in a smart way," says Christer Gardell.

Cevian Capital owns an 8 percent stake in Volvo Group, and over 14 percent of the voting rights, as of September 30.
