So when the first one failed I wanted to do the remaining five my self hours of phone calls got me nowhere. The dealer where we bought two 14's and one 15's was no help I wont post there name or my true feelings. We do business with another dealer 100 miles away and they are no doing the other five for around 800.00 per truck. If you happen to drill on one of the socket notches your in the same ball park! And going to loose the game anyway! This problem should have been addressed by fixing it properly how ever these guys chose this bandaid route ! the nut should have been pined or staked from the get go on assembly! Volvo should have had there asses sued off over this ! don't know how they dodged around it! I guess it wasn't chronic enough to gain traction Or not enough big name fleets had issues! One of the last ones i did, i pulled the MP-7 out of the GU chassis. When you get the new compressor gear, be sure to get the correct diameter gear, there are 2. The small one will not engage the other gears. One of my co workings taught us that the hard way.. I wish you much success, is the housing easy to find? Just another version of politics! They bought the big guys off and let the little guys sink! I never had the opportunity to partake in the repair of these thankfully but saw quite a few in the shop and it broke a few guys due to its expense ! I've said it before these engines for the most part have a good foundation ! if they were to put a decent fuel system on them and fix the injector cup and bull wheel issue ! Theyed have something! 'I've been away from it for 3 years now Don't miss it ! Hated watching this BS go On! Hopefully they have fixed this issue by now I'm sure they have! And we’re here if advice is needed ! As for many others here ! This is a great group of people here like it or not mack is now what it is and we have to live with the out come!
