Question

I have a 2007 Mack  CHN 613 maxitrack I use for a dump truck the lightning bolt flashes on the dash mainly in the morning when its cold and doesn't stop for 5 hours at least when it blinks the truck idles up and surges for a second or two and then back to normal it steadily does this as you push the pedal down I tried the flash check by holding the cruise down but I never got a flash or any thing any help is appreciated.

Its just telling you there's an electronic fault.  If its flashing, it could be that its inactive when you try to get the blink code.  But, as far as I know, it will still give you some kind of confirmation that there are no codes when the blink test is preformed.  Someone with more knowledge than I will be along shortly....

Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part....
