New guy 1955 International COE

B42

Recommended Posts

Hi there everyone, I'm Kyle I'm 18 and from Michigan. I've been joining a lot of truck forums so if you see me somewhere else its most likely me.. ;) Anyhow I don't own a Mack sadly :( but I do have a 1955 International RC180 Tractor Hauler Its rough though but at least complete... I hope to get it running and maybe then try to find a Mack I can enjoy as well... maybe a B20 or B42?.

Here's are few photos of my international when I bought it, my plans are to keep transmission stock and adapt a Detroit Diesel to it, only if I can make it fit.

Welcome to BMT! I am a fellow Michigander and Mack enthusiast. I happen to know where a clean complete B model is, but it's a tandem tractor.

Welcome!! Great looking project. Twin sticks aren't bad you can puck it up fairly quick when you need to. THey are neat for shifting gears backing up.  :) Paul

Welcome! Good to see young people interested in old trucks. Neat old IH you have there.

Rather partial to single axles myself...

F model? I know quite more history About these old trucks than the ordinary teenage like myself..

Yeah I know there not bad, it's the chore leaning how to drive one, Because one thing I know is that you got to be faster than a slice of cheese to drive one. ;)

Welcome Kyle. Nice Coe you have there. Just take it easy on every aspect of working your truck and shifting is slow and easy. Have fun with it.

Thanks! I have still have it, been looking at an 2nd option if I get stuck and have too sell it for something "Common" :)
