Not being a smart ass, but you do have the spacer ring that goes between the wheels off of the hub don't you?

Oh yes. That is what alerted me the inner wheel wasn't on anywhere near enough. I set the spacer on the hub and the ring sat out PASSED THE LUG NUT STUDS. Oopps

 Something ain't right.

I'm definitely curious as to what happens.    Paul

One my R I had to use my goodyear bar to wiggle six of them off and on. Some  seem to be just stubborn.

Ok, have you tried slipping them on backwards to see if they go farther?  That would get you a better view of the hub where it was covered up when installed the proper way.

To me it has to be that the rim is crooked and that's what is causing it to bind. In your picture it looks way further in on the top then the bottom. It is important to push in with your foot on the bottom when you slide the tire in. It shouldn't be loose by any means but at the same time it shouldn't be to tight until it runs up on the wedges on the back of the spoke.

Hey everybody here is a good sport.  Glad it was a simple fix once figured out.     I've done a lot of extra head scratching before just to find a simple issue like this.       I'm sure most on here have as well.           Good work.
