Got a 05 Granite with the ASET engine (hey there's your problem). It's had a problem with cutting off and not restarting for the last year or so, very intermittent. It can cut off one day and not restart for a month then you hand prime the system and it fires right off and will run fine for 6 months. There's no rhyme or reason it does it, just when it feels like it I guess. To date I have changed the injectors, fuel pump, filters, check valve, bypassed the tank and filters to see if that's the problem, I've put a test light on the EUPs and they all blink as if they are firing off, I've sent the computer off to have it checked. So far everything I've done has fixed nothing. It will run on ether, it will turn over and act like it wants to start but never does. I've also noticed when this problem occurs it will blow oil past the seals on the oil filters. So experts I come to you, what is going on here? What do I need to do to figure out what's going on here? And finally how to I get this truck back on the road other than setting it on fire?

Do a starter draw test if you have the equipment. Should be 650-700 amps. We had a few trucks that were 1400 +amps and seemed to crank great but it was pulling voltage away from the ECM's and the EUP's would not fire.  It happened off and on. You could check voltage to the engine or VECU while cranking  and it should be around 10 volts and not lower.  Heres a "crank no start"  check list
