I have no problem showing my ignorance:  What is a ZF trans axle and what do they come out of?  Remember reading a book that the author was using an Olsmobile Toranado transaxle in the rear.  Those would be hard to come by now.  Thanks,  Keith

No question is ignorance! ZF is a German company that made the units for the Ford GT40 MK1and MK3, De Tomaso Mangusta, De Tomaso Pantera, Maserati Bora, Lancia 037, BMW  and others. The ZF transaxles are now made by RBT Transmissions in California.
