Patina belongs on rat rods! I spent too many hours of my youth repairing rust and hand rubbing lacquer to make it shiny to like patina! I  would  prefer the high binder as a single axle tractor with daytons and a 318 Detroit with a 4 by4  or 13 speed! I actually like the little pickup, looks factory! Like the wheels, hope it's not an automatic, but the majority of street rods are! There was an article recently in Street Rodder a well known painter devoted the whole article showing how to f up a clean 57 Chevy by enhancing its patina! Instead of wet sanding it down to 1000 grit and putting a nice shiny paint job on it! Just my opinion!

Back to the high binder p.u, I believe it should have " period" mirrors off the door hinges or rounded west coasters ( like the mack ones, only plain!) With custom brackets  putting them closer to the cab! One thing the builder did right was leave the cab and fenders stock, but the late model mirrors mess up the "look."
