I have a 1993 ch 613 mack with a 400 engine. I'm replacing the trans and noticed oil in the flywheel housing, pulled the flywheel and sure enough the rear main seal is leaking. How do i remove the old seal, I've replaced a few on the e7 engines, but was always replacing the flywheel housing also. How do i go about removing the old seal without pulling the flywheel housing off?

And if its got a wear ring i use a torch and heat a spot on the ring just a small amount then pry on it with a screw driver to lossen it.Just dont blow it with the torch and no more heat than a few seconds. Now you need a installer.
